Elizabeth Malkiyel

My interest in medicine began in high school during a nursing clinical rotation, where I witnessed the impact healthcare professionals and patients during difficult moments. That experience sparked a curiosity that continued to grow through multiple experiences such as my pharmacy technician training, physician shadowing, community service at the El Paso Fighting Hunger Food Bank, and as an ED Scribe. Along the way, I learned the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, compassion, and patient-centered. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping others and confirmed my goal of becoming a physician who provides both excellent medical care and genuine support to patients in their families.
