Misael Aguirre

I am a UTEP graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. My goal is to become an anesthesiologist or emergency medicine physician while serving the border community.

My Story

As a first-generation student, my path toward medicine has been shaped by perseverance, curiosity, and a desire to serve others. Working in healthcare, especially as an ER medical scribe, has allowed me to witness patient care from different perspectives and has strengthened my commitment to becoming a physician.

Growing up in the El Paso border region has deeply influenced the way I view healthcare. I have seen how important it is for patients to feel understood, respected, and supported, especially in communities where access to care can be limited. These experiences continue to motivate me to pursue medicine and become a physician who advocates for patients both inside and outside of the clinical setting.

Outside of academics, I enjoy working out, playing video games, walking my dogs, and watching movies and anime.
