Celine Orozco
I graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences with a Biomedical concentration in December 2025. I ultimately want to serve underserved communities mainly focusing on the borderland through becoming an Emergency Medicine Physician. I work as a Pharmacy technician where I can have a direct interaction and connection with patients. I also work as an ER scribe which has deepened my interest in Emergency Medicine. In my free time I like to explore new places, complete escape rooms, and draw.
My Story
Problem-solving, a natural curiosity, and a commitment to serving underserved communities have shaped the way I approach every opportunity. I’m always eager to ask questions, learn more, and understand the “why” behind situations, which has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Whether through my involvement with Collegiate Double T or my work as a pharmacy technician, I’ve learned to think critically and adapt quickly to ensure patients receive safe and efficient care. One experience I’m especially proud of is placing 1st two times at the international level with my team in Creative Problem Solving through Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), which strengthened my ability to collaborate and perform under pressure.
This same passion carries into my volunteer work at free clinics, where some of my most meaningful experiences have taken place. There, I take vitals and use my Spanish to translate for patients, helping bridge communication gaps and ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported. I’ve truly valued connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, learning about their stories while being present for them in moments of need.
One piece of advice I try to live by is to try new experiences and actively connect with others. Growth often comes from facing difficult challenges and pushing through moments of discomfort, especially when those experiences involve building meaningful connections with others. By embracing these challenges and being open to learning from the people around you, you not only grow as an individual but also gain a deeper understanding of the world and those in it.
Through my journey, I’ve realized that true impact comes not only from the skills we develop, but from the compassion we show and the relationships we build. I hope to continue growing in this way and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others with the skills that I have learned.
