Paola Olivas
I'm a junior at UTEP majoring in Biological Sciences with a Biomedical concentration. I’ve always been drawn to healthcare, but I found my true calling in dentistry because I love the hands-on aspect of patient care and the ability to make an immediate impact on someone's quality of life.
My Story
I have always known that my future belonged in the healthcare field. Thanks to my time with the Double T Health Professions Honor Society, I’ve had the invaluable opportunity to explore the diverse career paths healthcare has to offer. My journey with Double T began in 2022 as a junior in high school, and I have proudly transitioned into the collegiate chapter. Through this exploration, I discovered my passion for dentistry, a field I find to be the perfect mix of healthcare and artistry. As a first-generation college student, I am deeply determined to achieve my professional goals and ultimately return to my community in El Paso to give back as a practicing dentist
