I have graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor’s in Biology with a Biomedical Concentration. After my graduation, I aim to matriculate into medical school and achieve my goals of becoming a physician, able to serve in underserved communities like my hometown, El Paso. I like to swim, read, and spend time with friends. Let us have a great year moving forward!
My Story
Growing up in El Paso as a Filipino American, I felt shaped by many cultures. From the influence of the Texan-Mexican borderland to the presence of Filipino traditions at my home, I stood at the intersection between two worlds. My parents came to this country as immigrants, carrying just their clothes and paperwork. Their trials and sacrifices fueled my desire to become a physician. Being a part of Double T since 2024, I have since become closer with our members and the larger El Pasoan community. The club also exposed me to both community and clinical experiences I would not have had the opportunity to obtain otherwise.
Collegiate Double T can serve as a stepping stone to your goals. Take advantage of the experiences that Double T offers. The path to medicine is not walked alone, so remember that every step you take forward lifts the person beside you.
